My Christian faith, my wife, and my three sons are the most important thing in my life — full stop. Everything else, this site included, sits downstream of that.
We built our bond outdoors. Paddle surfing and boarding, skiing and riding, hiking, water skiing — the mountains and the ocean raised these boys as much as we did. My kids really didn't have a choice, and the mountains are the most special thing we share.
Riding or skiing powder is the ultimate family vacation for us — though, given how hard we push, we always said: “don't confuse this with a vacation.” The boys grew up on frequent trips to our home mountain, Jay Peak: big snow, good vertical, endless glades — the ultimate New England mountain. That passion landed all three of them out in Utah, where the mountains are a year-round playground. I figure we did something right.
Faith and family carried me through the stretches no tracker can measure — the waiting rooms, the slow mornings, the days the data didn't budge. The biohacking is the fun part. This is the why.
